Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Glen Hamlyn, were held at
2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Lockwood Mortuary for Mrs. Leo
Harmon, who died September 21 at her home [Wray, CO] at the age of 69
years, 6 months and 26 days.  Burial was in Grandview Cemetery.
    
Viva Pearl Townsend was born February 25, 1896, to Charley and Lona
Townsend at Lebanon, Neb.  She was one of 10 children, 4 of whom preceded
her in death.
    
On June 9, 1915, she was married to Joel B. Dolph at McCook, Neb.
Two children were born to them.  One daughter, Vera Nadene, died at
infancy in 1918, and Mr. Dolph also died at this time.
    
Mrs. Dolph was married to Leo W. Harmon on August 9, 1924.  Two
children were born to them.  They lived on a farm in Decatur County, Kan,
until March of 1927 when they moved to Yuma County, Colo.  In 1952 they
moved to Wray.
    
Mrs. Harmon worked as a practical nurse at the Cedardale Nursing
Home in Wray for nearly 10 years.
    
She is survived by her husband, Leo, of Wray; two daughters, Lona
Ilene Wood of Paonia, Colo, and Wanda Jean Arnold of Phoenix, Ariz; a
son, Francis Townsend Harmon of Denver, Colo.; 3 sisters, Effie Hale of
Buffalo, Okla, Rena Fuller of Englewood, Colo, and Mildred Egelston of
Oakland, Calif; 2 brothers, Dale Townsend of Alamena, Kan. and Densel
Townsend of Oberlin, Kan, and 3 grandchildren, Joneita Rae, William
Dewayne, and James Dean Harmon of Denver.
