Marion Springs No. 101

The Douglas County KS Rural and One Room School collection was contributed by Raymond Stone.

Six one room schools consolidated to form Marion Springs School District No. 101 in 1963. Those schools forming District No. 101 were; Colyer School District No. 42; Willow Springs School District No. 51; Central School District No. 64; Globe School District No. 97; Exceline School District No. 91; and Union School District No. 34. Of these schools, Colyer, Willow Springs and Central still stand today! Please get out discover, and enjoy these pieces of history!
