Dodge City, Kansas
Perhaps the name DODGE CITY brings to most
people only a vision of the old frontier - rolling prairies, Indians, cowboys,
cattle drives, buffalo hunts, and lawlessness. So it was many years ago.
For us in D. C. S. H. S. in 1946, the name not only holds all the romance of the
Old West - for here we see "Boot Hill," "Front Street," and other reminders of
those early days.
