Born in Hays, Ks. Son of Theodore Franklin Bernard & Ava (Jones) Bates. Death as a result of a motor vehicle accident near WaKeeney, Ks. Survivors include his parents, two brothers, Theodore Bernard Bates Sr. & Brad Eugene Bates Jr., two sisters, Karla Kay Adams & Terrie Louise Bates, & his grandfather Kenneth A. Jones. He was preceded in death by his parternal grandparents & his maternal grandmother.
Burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery
