Melva Jean Coats, 75, Bogue, died at Hays Medical Center. She was born near Bogue. Daughter of Ira and Elta Mae (Flanders) Middleton. She married James Coats on Aug. 3, 1951, in Hill City. Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Brad Coats, and Jimmy Coats, daughter, Gaylene Cuzick, a brother, Marvin Middleton, a sister, Cova Fink, 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial in Wildhorse Cemetery
