Born in Graham County, & had lived in the Palco area. Son of Orr & Winnie (Lewis) Cox. He married Trula Merrifield on April 3, 1949, in Minneapolis. Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Phyllis Sanderbeck, & Shirley Knipp, & 4 grandchildren. Burial in Fort Hays Memorial Gardens, Hays, Kansas, Ellis County.
