QUINT, Mrs. Isabel F.

Isabel F. JACKSON, daughter of Archibald and Catherine Jackson was born March 4, 1854 at Nauvoo, Illinois, and passed away at her home in Hill City, Kansas, June 30, 1948. On March 9, 1876, she was united in marriage to Louis F. QUINT at her home in Nauvoo. To this eight (correction eleven) children were born. Mrs. QUINT was preceded in death by her husband who passed away January 19, 1943. She is survived by two sons, Clarence D. QUINT and Elmer L. QUINT of Hill City; by six daughters, Mrs. Clara STEVENSON of the home; Mrs. Mabel LOYD of Salina, Mrs. Grace GILLILAND, Arkansas City, Mrs. Hazel PARSONS of Fort Collins, Colorado; Mrs. Jennie DUNWOODY and Mrs. Florence MORRIS of Hill City; by sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Before her marriage Mrs. QUINT taught school near Nauvoo. In 1884, Mr. and Mrs. QUINT moved to Beloit, Kansas and resided here until they moved to Hill City, Kansas in May, 1902. She united with the church in 1863 at Nauvoo, Illinois and was baptized in the Mississippi River. She was a member of the Community Methodist Church and of the Philathea Sunday School Class of Hill City. Mrs. QUINT was very active through the years and enjoyed working in her garden among the flowers she loved so well. She was devoted to her home and to her family. She will be greatly missed by the many friends who knew and loved her.
