Nathaniel Dewayne Moore Jr., 79, died Wednesday, May 29,2001, at Graham County Hospital, Hill City.
He was born Dec. 22, 1922, in Nicodemus, son of Nathaniel and Sarah (Griffey) Moore Sr.
He married Courtland M. Pointer on Feb. 2, 1941, in Parsons. She died in April 1976. He had worked in railroad construction and was a longtime area resident. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Nicodemus, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a son, Dewayne Nathaniel, a brother, Donald, two sisters, Florence Howard, and Bertha Carter, three grandchildren; and eight great -grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn, a sister, Dorothy Moetry, and a brother, Wilfred.

Burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery
