Cleo Young:       

Cleo Young, 97, of Glen Elder, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the Mitchell County Hospital, in Beloit, Kansas. She was born Feb. 21, 1912, in rural Graham County to Orin Louis and Emma (Peterson) Brinkmeyer. She married Alvin Addison Young on Nov. 6, 1936, in Osborne. He preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1943. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Lori Augustine and husband, Wayne, Michael Hoppe and wife, Kathy, Kyle Hoppe and wife, Kim, and Jerry Hoppe and wife, Kay, four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna JoAnne; a son, Louis Holliday; and two great-granddaughters.                                                                                   

Burial is in the Hill City Cemetery.
