The list of mayors of Anthony was obtained from information in the Anthony Republican on file at the City Library from 1879 to 1893, 1893 to 1975 was obtained from the Minute Books of Commission Meetings on file at the City Office, and 1975 to current from the city offices. The first report declared fraudulent, but the Supreme Court ordered the ballots counted and it was declared that J. Brock was duly elected Mayor, but a later count revealed that W.N. Kirkpatrick received the largest number of votes.
