Lacy, James S.  - (Burrton).  J. S. Lacy enlisted in September 1864 as private in Company E, 38th Indiana Volunteer Infantry.  Served about one year, was in engagements at Nashville, was taken sick, sent to the hospital, afterwards sent home out of health.  (Our Old Soldiers, written by A. Perry, G.A.R., published in the Burrton Monitor, Friday February 10, 1882.  Page 2).  James S. Lacy (no birth/death dates on cemetery records), married Catherine Lacy (1839-1901).  They are buried in the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kansas, Block 2 Lot 13 Graves 1 & 4.  Next to them is buried their son, James A. Lacy (1865-1925).

Leonard, S.D. - (Burrton).  S.D. Leonard enlisted July 18, 1861 as a private in Co. C, Western Engineer corps.  Afterwards in U.S. Veterans Volunteers.  Served four years.  (Our Old Soldiers, written by A. Perry, G.A.R., published in the Burrton Monitor, Friday September 22, 1882.  Page 2).

Lindsey, Charles W. - (Burrton).  Charles W. Lindsey enlisted December 13, 1861 as a private in Co. G, 78th Ohio Infantry.  Served three and a half years.  Fought at Fort Donnelson, Corinth, Shiloh, Vicksburg, Atlanta, Savannah, and besides took part in several other skirmishes.  (Our Old Soldiers, written by A. Perry, G.A.R., published in the Burrton Monitor, Friday September 22, 1882.  Page 2).  Charles Lindsey was born in Ganesville, Ohio, in 1845 and died December 8, 1902.  Charles was married to Leota Lindsey, whose birth & death dates were not recorded by the Cemetery.  Both are buried in the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kansas, Block 3 Lot 156, Graves 2 & 3.  Next to them is buried their daughter, Mary Atha Lindsey, who died February 25, 1880 at the age of 17 years, 1 month, 9 days.

Long, Wellington. - (Burrton).  W. Long enlisted in May, 1861 as private in Co. I 5th Missouri Cavalry, promoted to Sergeant; served sixteen months.  Fought at Lexington, Sibley, Hurricane Prairie, Lone Jack and other battles of minor importance.  (Our Old Soldiers, written by A. Perry, G.A.R., published in the Burrton Monitor, Friday February 10, 1882.  Page 2).  Wellington Long was born November 17, 1831 and died November 23, 1894.  He married Susan Rood (Nov. 21, 1831 - Oct. 24, 1900).  Wellington & Susan are buried in the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kansas, Block 2 Lot 203 Graves 1 & 2.  Next to them is buried Wellington Francis Long (July 27, 1894 - Nov. 2, 1964) and Rhoda Clara Long (July 1, 1897 - Nov. 1, 1987).
