Looking for family info abt Rev William Henry Hill of Burr Oak, Jewell Co., and his wife, Elda (Dobbins), parents of Adeline Hill, born 31 Aug 1885 in Burr Oak. Adeline had siblings: Maggie, Fay, Betty, and I suppose others. Would like to know Rev Hill's church affiliation.

I am particularly interested in Adeline and her first husband, James Hunter, who were my mother's parents. They mar abt 1903 and had two children born 1904-1906. James Hunter died abt 1908 and Adeline mar (2) Surber and (3) Kennedy. Any info would be much appreciated.

The Hills that i am tracing came to jewel Co.kansas from Iowa before that Indiana then before that North Carolina, they were Quakers, and can be found in Quaker books at any good genealogy library, my Hill was Nathan Hill and he started the Quaker church at walnut grove, jewel co kansas, he came from quite a large family of Hills, all from north Carolina. Seeking information regarding my great-grandmother, Estella L. Ellis. She was married to Oren A. Squires and they may have lived in Formoso. According to my records, "Stella" was buried in the Caldwell Cemetery, Jewell Co., KS in 1887. My grandmother, Minnie Alice Squires, was born on 10/17/1885 in Jewell, Jewell Co., Kansas. Looking for information for George B and Minnie Belle McMullen who lived in Mankato Kansas in Jewel County in the late 1800 to ??

They had five sons Taylor McMullen William McMullen Smith McMullen Edward Lee McMullen George C.McMullen. In the early 1900's George ran a service station on highway 36. Does anyone have information on my family

Interested in the surname Peck. GGGrandfather was Jeremiah Peck b Jul 29 1817 in Vt. d Oct 12 1893 in Kansas. Had 2 sons Aaron and Horace. Horace b Apr 7 1842 married Maggie Hughes and had 3 children Aaron, Annie (twins) b Apr 4 1889 and Emma. Horace and Maggie were killed in a accident about 1900 and the children were boarded out. Annie married Henry Burbidge in 1914.

The North Central Kansas Genealogical Society & Library, located at P.O. Box 251, Cawker City, KS 67430, published a series of five volumes of transcriptions of cemetery headstones for Jewell County about 1983. I'm not sure which volume the Burr Oak Cemetery is in. I am looking for more info on Boyd Vern Fitz born 9-28-1900 who married Ruth Stansbury born 10-19-1904 in Burr Oak, Jewell County, Kansas. They have one daughter Glenda Jean born 10-1929 died 11-1929. Ruth's parents were James a. Stansbury and Mae Elizabeth Glover. PLease help if you can. Thanks, Diane.
