Methodist Minister
L.A. Branson Moves
From Sylvan to Prairie Grove

Sylvan Grove News, 19 April 1923

Rev. L.A. Branson, pastor of the Methodist church at this place for the past year, has been assigned to Prairie Grove in the Salina district, and he will be succeeded by Rev. H.P. Woortendyke of Monument. Rev. Branson and his family have made many warm friends during their stay here who will be glad that their new home is not so far away but that they can “drop in” most any time. They will probably not move until the first of next week. Other appointments made at the Northwest Kansas Conference which closed Sunday night that are of interest to our readers are as follows: Rev. F.B. Cunningham goes back to Waldo; L.L. McKean to Webster; U.S. Benson to Beverly; W.C. Greene to Lucas; Attree Smith of Lincoln is sent to Lindsborg and Rev. Carl Ecklund of Lindsborg, who conducted the revival here last winter, was named evangelist at large, a promotion he richly deserves; M.R. Starbuck goes to Goodland.
