| Obituary of EDWIN KRAUSE |
| Edwin Krause, 98, died Oct. 20, 2000, at
Hillsboro Community Center Long Term Care Unit. Born Nov. 12, 1901, in rural Hillsboro, he was the son of John and Anna Duerksen Krause. A farmer and worker at Tip Top Creamery, he married Mathilda Voth Aug. 14, 1924, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel. They lived in the Hillsboro area. She died in 1989. He also was preceded in death by a son, Robert Krause. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Goossen, Orange Park, Fla.; a son, Andy Krause, Hillsboro; a brother, Clarence Krause, Goessel; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Monday morning at Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, with the Rev. Tim Kliewer officiating. A memorial fund has been established at Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit. |
