| Gary David Wiebe, 53, Lee's Summit, Mo.,
died Oct. 18, 2000. He was born May 9, 1947, at Garden City. He was raised in Ulysses, where he graduated from high school. He attended Tabor College and the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary where he received a master's of divinity degree. He met Maxelin Schroeder at Tabor College and was married Feb. 18, 1967, at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Buhler. For the past eight years, up until his death, he and his wife have been shepherding Summit Church of Lee's Summit, Mo. He also served as police chaplain the last three years and served the community in many other ways. Survivors include wife Maxelin, two sons, three brothers, one sister, and four grandchildren. |
