Obituary of IRMGARD CATHARINE SIEBERT
Irmgard Catharine Knipfel was born Dec. 6, 1902, in Berlin, Ontario, Canada. 
She was the youngest of the three children of Noah and Margaret (Frank) Knipfel.
She attended grade school in Kitchener and graduated from Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate Institute in 1920.
She then worked for 19 years as a secretary for Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Kitchener, Ontario.
On Oct. 20, 1939, she was married to Ernest Siebert at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kitchener. They lived on a farm northwest of Hillsboro until 1952 when they moved into town. 
The couple had one son, William.
They enjoyed 58 years together and traveled to many states and provinces.
She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church. She was active as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent was church organist for many years, was active in the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.
In her spare times she enjoyed numerous hobbies including needlepoint and crocheting, painting dish towels and pottery, quilting, baking, and cooking for the family.
She died early Tuesday morning, March 14, 2000, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest. Survivors include her son, William Siebert, and his wife, Marie; three grandsons, Brian, Mark, and Jeff, all of Lakewood, Colo.
Services were held in Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, with the Rev. John Ryding officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, and the Lutheran Hour.
