Obituary of EDNA MAE SOCOLOFSKY |
Edna Mae Socolofsky, 94, died Dec. 17,
2000, at her home in Oakland, Calif. Born May 6, 1906, at Colorado Springs, Colo., she was a former resident of Marion County. She graduated from Kansas State University and took graduate work at Stanford University in California. Following a long career in the business world, she retired to enjoy her many interests in the Bay Area, including music, museums, and sporting events. Miss Socolofsky was a member of First Baptist Church at Oakland and many community and professional organizations. Survivors include a niece, Carol Ann Ohmart and her husband, Richard, of Oakley; niece, Barbar Hintz of Scott City; nephew, Patrick Travis and his wife, Jaquith, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; five nieces and nephews; and others. At her request, her ashes were strewn in the Santa Rosa California Rose Garden. |
