Obituary of WILMA E. HETT |
Wilma E. Hett, 83, of Hutchinson, died
Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born Nov. 25, 1916, at Hope, the daughter of Harvey and Nettie (Lininger) Bowers. A homemaker, Mrs. Hett had been a longtime resident of Marion County. She was a member of Youngtown United Methodist Church in rural Marion and had been active in 4-H in earlier years. On March 22, 1940, she married Homer Hett. Following his death on May 10, 1995, she moved from Marion to Hutchinson and lived at Wesley Towers. She is survived by a son, Warren Hett, Deerfield; two daughters, Arlene Sittner, Hudson, and Ruth Snodgrass, Santa Barbara, Calif.; three brothers, David Bowers, Marion, Wilford Bowers, Manchester, Iowa, and Dale Bowers, Portland, Ore.; and five grandchildren. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion, with the Rev. Marilyn Cox officiating. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday with the family greeting friends at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. Memorials are suggested to the Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund at Hutchinson or Youngtown United Methodist Church in rural Marion, both in care of the funeral home. |
