The Nemaha Lake project was a big part of the life for many people in county. It provided employment for many people in the area as three Civilian Conservation Corps were placed to work on the project. Many long days were put in as the CCC worked just over a year on it. Many people enjoyed the use of the lake and its facilities, from swimming to boating or even camping out.
