Earl S. Byrd Obituary Obituary: Hutchinson NewsEARL S. BYRD Earl S. Byrd, 85, 318 N. Plum, died Saturday at Albuquerque, N.M., following a long illness. Born Nov. 15, 1895, at Wellsford, he was the retired owner of the Wardrobe Cleaners, Hutchinson. He was a member of the Central United Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson. Survivors: widow, Mrs. Mae Byrd, of the home; son: Dean Byrd, Albuquerque; daughter: Mrs. Phyllis Long, Joplin (note; should be Washburn), Mo,; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Elliott Chapel. Burial will be at Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening at the chapel. NOTE: 318 North Plum is where Earl and Mae lived in Hutchinson for about 30 years.
