Anita M. Corwin

Anita May Corwin, 78, died July 7, 2007, at Hospice House.

She was born May 28, 1929, in Kingman, the daughter of Clifford and Lena Simmonds Moore. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1948. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she was a cook for school district No. 308, mainly at Lincoln and Allen Elementary Schools.

She belonged to the Temple Baptist Church, and Lysle Rishel Post No. 68 American Legion Auxiliary.

On June 16, 1956, she married Allen T. Corwin in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Gary L. and wife Cheryl, Hutchinson, and Durlin, U.S.A.; a daughter, JoAnn Corwin, Hutchinson; an aunt, Elda Antler, Sylvia; two grandsons and their wives, Brian and Jenny Corwin, and Jason and Sandee Corwin; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Corwin.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Clinton Moore.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Willard Stafford presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sego Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice House or Temple Baptist Church, both in care of the mortuary.
