Newton Ivan Dyche

Newton Ivan Dyche, 91, died Apri 19, 2001, at Golden Plains Health Care Center, Hutchinson.

He was born Jan. 1, 1910, in Major County, Okla., the son of William Briant and Mary Ketorah Wright Dyche. A resident of Hutchinson since 1942, he was employed by Barton Salt Co. as a truck driver, retiring in 1972.

He was a member of Reno Masonic Lodge No. 124 AF & AM. On May 16 he married Grace Beck. She died May 24, 1995.

Survivors include: four daughters, Hazel Bishop, Inman, Charlotte McAdams, Hutchinson, Doris Helm, Buhler, and Vina Pike, Arlington; a sister, Pearl Dunlap, Stockton, Clalif.; 24 grandchildren; and several great and great-great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Earl and Alvin; six brothers, Clarence, Roy, Orville, Arthur, Charley and George; a sister, Vivian Wallace; and two grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to the Newton Ivan Dyche memorial, in care of the mortuary.
