William Gould Obituary

William Gould Dead
William Gould who had been suffering for several weeks with cancer of the liver and other internal disorders answered the call Monday afternoon. He had been very sick all fall and winter and several times  it was thought his death was imminent. It is thought the troubles originated from an injury he received a couple of years ago. During the last couple of months his suffering had been so intense that he was unconscious perhaps half the time.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist Church and interment was made in Laurel Cemetery.
Wm. Henry Gould was born at Corning, Iowa, March 25,1857 and was 62 years, 8 months and 20 days old at the time of his demise. As a boy he moved with his parents to Quincy, Illinois, and there grew to manhood. He was married March 18, 1882 to Eliza Jane McRae. They came to Kansas in 1884 and to Haven in 1898. They have lived in this community practically ever since.
The deceased leaves his wife and four children, ten grandchildren, four brothers and one sister. The children are Mrs. Goldie Van Buren of Kingsdown, Kansas, Roy Gould of Midian, Kansas, Mrs. Eva Milliken of Wichita and Mrs. Iva Campbell who has been at home for several months helping to care for her father.
