Walter R. Haskard Obituary
Prominent Banker Dead at Partridge
Walter R. Haskard, Prominent Partridge banker,
farmer and former automobile dealer, died at his home in Partridge Tuesday
morning after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held
yesterday afternoon in the Partridge high school auditorium in charge of Dr.
Frank Richard. Burial was in the Partridge cemetery.
Mr. Haskard was one of the old times in the
Partridge community and had lived there all his life with the exception of
about 11 years, when he made his home in Hutchinson and operated the Haskard
Automobile agency with his brother, H. J. Haskard.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jessie Haskard,
two daughters, Mrs. Louise MacArthur of Lincoln, Nebr., and Mrs. Edith Marie
Harris of Hutchinson; five sons, Walter, Jr., Richard and Frederick of
Hutchinson, Horatio R. of El Dorado and Herbert E. of Partridge; and a
brother, H. J. Haskard of Hutchinson.
All of the children were at his bedside at his
death and for several days before.
