John F. Hostetter John F. Hostetter, 84, died last night at his home, 117 West Bigger St., after a brief illness. He is survived by his widow; a son, Austin F. Hostetter of the home and two daughters, Mrs. J. F. Liscum and Mrs. C. E. Heaney of this city, a brother, Jerome Hostetter at Camp Point, Ill., 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren The funeral services will be held from the Hadley Memorial Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o’clock with the Rev. W. H. Steven in charge. Interment will be in Eastside cemetery. Mr. Hostetter has been a resident of Hutchinson since 1905. Until his health failed he served as street superintendent for the city many years. He was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Illinois many years before coming to this city. He was married to Lusina Tracy on June 6, 1872. Mrs. Hostetter is seriously ill at the present time at the home. He has been a member of the Methodist church since 1896 and has been affiliated with the Hadley church since coming here. He was greatly interested in the music of the church and led the choir as a young man. He was esteemed by all who knew him because of his sincerity, kindness and devotion to his family.
