MRS. ELEANOR HUMISTON
Mrs. Eleanor Lawman Humiston, 70, 1209 Armagh, died Sunday,
Sept. 30, at a Topeka hospital.
She was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone
Co. from 1929 to 1945.
Mrs. Humiston was born Oct. 10, 1913, at Thornton, Ill., the
daughter of Edgar and Margaret Petrie Lawman. She lived at
Hutchinson from 1925 to 1967, when she moved to Topeka.
She was married to Harold Humiston, April 18, 1941, at Little
Rock, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Norrol Smith,
Overland Park; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Durham, Hutchinson; and
a grandchild.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel
Funeral Home,. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday
at Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
