F. W. Kightlinger, 69, well-known Hutchinson businessman, died at St. Elizabeths Hospital Tuesday night after an illness of a year
 
Mr. Kightlinger, whose home was 1124 West 30th, operated the Kightlinger Lumber Co. here for many years before it was dissolved a few years ago.
 
His company developed the Faircrest addition northeast of 17th and Plum.
 
Mr. Kightlinger was a parachute rigger in World War I.
 
He was born Sept. 24, 1897, in Waynoka, Olka.  He married Ines Smith, Feb. 26, 1946, in Mexico.  He had lived in Hutchinson since 1939.
 
Member: Eagles; Moose; American Legion; Veteran of World War II.
 
Survivors; The widow, of the home; son, Norman E., 1110 Orchard; Step-son, Bill Smith Wichita; two step-daughters, Mrs. Dora Hawkins, 523 Park; Mrs. Dixie Strong, Chula Vista, Calif.; brothers; Forrest, 3112 East 4th; Emerson, Guthrie, Okla.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; one great-step-grandson.
 
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday, Elliott Chapel; Rev. Richard Burson.  Burial Fairlawn Cemetery.
