Melvin A. Kightlinger
Melvin A. Kightlinger, 82, retired lumberman, died in Grace hospital at
6 p.m. Friday after five years illness.
He was born in Marion, Ohio, May 4, 1872, came to Wellington with his
parents. He was married July 25, 1893 and came to Hutchinson in
1920. He was a member of the First Baptist church.
Survivors are the widow, Nellie of the home, 703 East 8th; three sons,
F. W., 62 Faircrest, Forrest 3112 East 4th, and Emerson, Guthrie; a
brother, Emmett, Moreland, Okla.; four sisters, Mrs. Oltie Whitter,
Wichita, Mrs. A. H. Seig, Wichita, Mrs. Myrtle B. Turner, Los Angeles,
and Mrs. Lillie Cole, Los Angeles; one grandchild and two great
grandchildren.
