Orr Daniel "Buster" Miller, youngest son of Daniel Webster
Miller and Ella Estella (Gibson) Miller, was born on the
old State Road east of Eureka, Kansas, on February 15,
1898; and passed away at Hutchinson, Kansas, on February
1, 1985. He attended Union School and the Little Flock
Baptist Church, which was located on the family farm. As a
young man he moved, with his parents, to Neal, Kansas. On
May 20, 1923, he was united in marriage, at the Neal
Methodist Church, to Gwendolyn Calista Hamilton. He
converted a Model A Ford into a school bus and drove one
of the school routes for the Neal Consolidated School for
many years. In 1958 he moved to Piqua, Kansas, where he
worked in the Piqua Coop for a number of years. He moved
to Hutchinson, Kansas, in 1967. He was preceded in death
by his parents, his wife, one son, Marion, one sister,
Alma Flummer, two brothers, Ernest and Bert, and a
half-brother, Edward. He is survived by two sons, Richard
of South Hutchinson and Ernest of Wichita; and by seven
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside
services were held on Monday, Feb. 4, 1985 at 2 P.M. in
the Neal Cemetery. Rev. Larry Buss, pastor of the Neal
United Methodist Church, officiated." -- Yates Center
