L. Nafzinger Obituary
John L. Nafzinger
John L. Nafzinger, 84 of 605 East 10th, died Oct. 24, 1991, at his home.
He was born Feb. 27, 1907, at Hutchinson, the son of John and Emma Jane Young
Nafzinger. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, he was a car man for Santa Fe
Railroad Co. for 46 years.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, and was a
shortwave-radio operator, using the call letters WOUFP for over 56 years.
On Feb. 2, 1927, he married Dorothy M. Hines at Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors inlcude: two sons, John R., Hutchinson, and Larry, Corpus
Christie, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildern.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with
Pastor Grant W. Housewright presiding. Burial will be in the Memorial Park
Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Elliott
Mortuary, Hutchinson.
