1858, by Rev. J. W. Bolton of the M. E. church at Abingdon, Ill. In 1878
she moved to Nickerson, Kan., where she since resided. She passed from this
life March 9, 1908, at the age of 64 years. she is survived by her husband,
James Dudley Reed, and five children, John W. Reed of Quincy, Ill.; Mrs. M.
McCormick of Nickerson, Kan.; Mrs. M. W. Hoffman of Jackson, Mich.; L. C.
Reed of Quincy, Ill.; and Fred G. Reed of Houston, Texas, all of whom were
present at the funeral. Mr. Hoffman also came Tuesday evening to attend the
funeral.
Mrs. Reed became a member of the Congregational
church in 1881, and remained an active and efficient worker until the day of
her death. She was ever planning and putting into effect something to help
build up the church. For a number of years, and until her increasing
infirmities prevented such active service, she was a faithful and successful
teacher and worker in the Sunday School.

Wednesday, March 11, at 10 a.m., conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. T.
Snyder. The body was laid to rest in Wildmead cemetery, there to await the
