Bijou St., was found dead in his car Monday night in the 1000 block Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs. There was a gun shot wound in his head a a .38 caliber pistol lay in his lap. The Manitou Springs Police Department, after investigation reported that Schnurr had committed suicide. Mr. Schnurr was a retired Kansas farmer who had resided in Colorado Springs since 1921. A daughter Mrs. Elsie Gibson of Colorado Springs, said today that his mind had become affected, but how seriously it was not realized until too late. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Bertha Schnurr, his daughter a son Clark Schnurr of Loveland, Colo.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The Blunt Mortuary has charge of funeral arrangements, which have not been completed.
