Venn Obituary
Henry Venn is Dead
Dies at Daughter’s Home at
Advanced Age.
Henry Venn, probably the first
plasterer that ever settled in Hutchinson, died Monday night at the advanced
age of 79 years. He had been ill for nearly a year and seriously sick for the
last month. The cause of death was dropsy and heart trouble.
Mr. Venn came to Hutchinson in
1873, and has lived here ever since. His wife died about four years ago and
since that time he has made his home with Mrs. J. A. St. Clair of 14 Seventh
avenue west, where he died. Mrs. St. Clair is his only daughter.
The funeral was held from the
St. Clair home at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon and burial was at Eastside
cemetery.
