Location
Yoder is located in Reno, [RN], county a few miles southeast of Hutchinson. Highway 96 and and the Union Pacific railroad pass beside Yoder connecting Wichita and Hutchinson. There's a nice little park in Yoder's main square with a granite marker that gives some of the history of Yoder. Sunday morning in Yoder brings out more buggies that you would believe. The Amish and Mennonite heritage here is still strong.
As small as it is, Yoder has some interesting places. The hardware store has extensive selections of lanterns, crocks, and hand tools. The bakery and neat market are known throughout the region for the quality of their products, "And Cousins Make Three" is a unique store with many handmade items, and the Carriage Crossing is so popular that it's hard to get into on weekend evenings.
