Lyons School

Submitted by Diane Battershell who writes:

"This building was originally Central grade and Lyons High school on South Douglas Ave.  It later became Central grade and & Lyons Jr. High School when the new Lyons High School was built next door in 1935.  The old building burned down sometime in the 1980s."

Regarding the above photo, Diane writes:

"...Old Lyons High School building on South Douglas Street in Lyons.  It is presently the Lyons Jr. High School.  Think the last high school class to graduate from this school was about 1970, and the first to graduate from this school was about 1935/36."
