Mrs. Mattie Bell Davis, 53, of 1010 East Tenth, died Wednesday in a local hospital.

Mrs. Davis was born July 14, 1900, in Shreveport. La., and had lived here for 36 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew of the home; three sons, Theodore and Leonard, of the home, Samuel of 1922 North Minnesota; two daughters, Horise Davis of Shreveport, Mrs. Carrye Mae Newman of 1004 Tenth; two sisters, Marcy Lee Bell of Los Angeles, Mrs. Arieva Sparks of Long View, Tex.; two brothers, Mahlon Green of 1138 Cleveland and Walter Green of Los Angeles.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Jackson Mortuary.
