Sager, Josephine Alice, 94, died June 17, 2007 of natural causes in the Long Beach assisted living facility where she had been living. She was born Sept. 3, 1912 in Wichita, Kansas and moved to South Gate with her husband, Clark Sager. They lived there many years and were active in photography and flower raising. After Clark's death in 1987, Josephine moved to Laguna Woods, where she enjoyed the community well into her 90s. Josephine is survived by her daughter, Rhea Black, of Long Beach; granddaughters Susan Meyer of Lake Forest and Aileen Moreno of Laurel Canyon; and three great-granddaughters. Serv­ices will be private. Her remains will be interred beside Clark's at Forest Lawn Cypress.

            Moran, John Joseph, 83, of Louisville, KY, died December 6, 2007 at V.A. Medical Center in Louisville.

            He was a native of Wichita, KS. He was a retired Vice President of Sales of United Mercantile Agen­cies of Louisville. He was a mem­ber of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and former member of Hurstbourne Country Club. He was also an Army Veteran of World War II.

            He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Moran of Louisville; his children, Richard and Sheri (Moran) Sperry of Sedona, AZ, John Moran of Huntington Beach, CA, Joe and Nicole Moran of Trabuco Canyon, CA, David and Cynthia Moran of Chino Hills, CA, and Keith and Rosemary (Moran) Koss of Huntington Beach; two step-grandchildren residing in Louisville, KY as well as 12 grand­children.

            Memorial services will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic church in Chino Hills, CA at 10 am on Wednesday, January 9, 2008.

            Zirkle, Wallace C. "Wally," 88, of Orange,   was born on October 13, 1918, in Cheney, Kansas, passed away op June 13, 2007, He attended the University of Oklaho­ma and moved to California in 1939. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ruth; sons, Philip and David; daughter, Lynne Wedaa; son-in-law, Ray Wedaa; sister, Virian Sturdevant of Virginia Beach, VA; grandsons, Paul and Mike.  Viewing: Monday, June 25, 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service: Mon­day, June 25, 2:30 p.m. at Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana, CA.  Wally arrived in the City of Orange in 1944 and owned the Firestone Tire Store and the Music Box Store located in the southeast corner of the Plaza in Old Towne. In 1950, he purchased the site at 177 N. Glassell to open "Wally's Market," his ‘pride and joy' until 1961 when he went to work for the US Postal Service as a letter carrier for the next 27 years.  Wally was a member of the Crystal Cathedral Church.  He was a devoted hus­band and father, and loved travel­ing with the family.  Wally was 'one-of-a-kind,' and will be greatly missed.
