JAMES PHARES
TAKEN IN DEATH
James Wilbur Phares, 55, of 2311 Rosenthal, employed by the Reiff-King
Livestock Commission, died suddenly. Saturday in a local hospital. Phares was born on
October 29, 1890, at Braymer, Mo., moving to Wichita from EL Dorado in 1933. He
was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Lelah May, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. C. F. Laurie, 2402 South
Mead; two sons, Cardinal Phares, 2412 Rosenthal, and Corp. James Phares, with the U. S.
army in Germany; a sister, Miss Alta Phares, St. Joseph, Mo; and tbree brothers,
Robb Phares, Buffalo, Wyo., Ed Phares, Nettleton, Mo., and Reginald Phares, California.
Funureal services will be announced by the Downing Mortuary. Interment will be made in the
family cemetery at Braymer, Mo.
