SERVICES ON FRIDAY FOR MISS POWELL

Funeral Will Be Held at the Home on Circle Drive Tomorrow.

The funeral services for Miss Nellora Powell, only daughter of Mayor and Mrs. John L. Powell, of 121 Circle Drive, whose death occurred Tuesday night, when she took some carbolic acid, which she mistook for medicine, will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock.

Rev. A. M. Brodie and Rev. Percy T. Fenn will be in charge of the services. Lucius Aldes is to have charge of the music. Interment will be made in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Gill Brothers are in charge of the arrangements.

The pallbearers will be James Eaton, Hiram Lewis, Tom Torrington, Roger Hurd, Edward Keck, Albert Comley, Earl Hilbert, John B. Carey and Ralph Rounds. Honorary pallbearers are: Miss Pauline Naftzger, Miss Carolyn Clapp, Miss Marie Babcook, Miss Christine Ross, Miss Margaret Long, Mrs. Albert Comley, Mrs. Earl Hilbert and Mrs. Hiram Lewis.

One of the interesting side-lights of Miss Powell’s last days was her intense activity in behalf of various worthy causes.

She gave two days of her time to the Roosevelt memorial fund drive, working at the National Bank of Commerce, and she expressed great enthusiasm for the work to the committee. She expressed deep regret at the attitude of some of those who were reminded of the drive and told the committee she was very happy to have had a part in the work.

HASTIE. – The funeral services for Mrs. R. B. Hastie were held this afternoon at the home, 1139 South Market Street. Gill Brothers were in charge. Internment was made in the Old Mission cemetery.

KELLEY. – The funeral services for Alexander Kelley will be held at the home, 2709 Jackson Avenue at 7:30 o’clock this evening. The body will be shipped to Wellington tomorrow morning for funeral services and burial.

EATON. – Ella Mae Eaton, 42 years old, died this morning at her home, 212 North Glenn Street. She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Glenn; her parents, Mr. And Mrs. J. W. Martin, of Arkansas City, by four brothers and one sister. The body is at the parlors of the Wichita Undertaking Company, awaiting funeral arrangements.
