Members of the Wedgewood family who were burned to death Friday when trapped on a blazing stairway in a rooming house at Shreveport, La., were former residents of Wichita it was disclosed Saturday.
The Wedgewoods resided here at 414 West Central at one time and left Wichita about two months ago according to The Associated Press. The elder Wedgewood was engaged in construction work.
The rooming. house in Shreveport had no fire escape. Six persons lost their lives.
