Earl C. Wylie, 75,
Retired Conductor,
Passes in Hospital
Earl Chalmers Wylie, 75, of 236 North Grove, died Thursday morning at Santa Fe hospital in Topeka, Kan.
Wylie was born Feb. 2, 1878, at Zanesville, O., and moved to Wichita from Fairview, Okla., 16 years ago. He was a conductor on the Orient division of the Santa Fe Railroad company until his retirement three years ago and had received his 50-year pin last October. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Stein, Dallas, Tex.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the College Hill Methodist church with Dr. William A. Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in the Beulah, Kan., cemetery with Gordon mortuary in charge.
