A more mature photo of Elvira Van Alstine Swaggart. Both photos are identified as being her by the watch she wore around her neck. It was said that she never removed it. The watch is still in the family. My grandmother, Nellie Eugenia Swaggart Briggs gave it to me before she died

Nellie and Joseph were married on June 19, 1885 in Caldwell, KS according to the family Bible. She was born November 11, 1864 in Mt. Carroll, IL, d. November 3, 1957 in Mathis, TX. He was b. July 4, 1863 in Valparaiso, IN, d. Jan. 10, 1910 in Palestine, TX. Both are buried in Palestine, TX.Josephine Swaggart, daughter of Eugene McBride Swaggart and Elvira Van Alstine Swaggart. She was b. October 15, 1867 in Mt. Carroll, IL, d. Chickasha, Oklahoma. She married Ike S. Jones in Mt. Carroll, IL about 1895. He worked on the railroad and became an engineer but I am not sure if that was before or after they left Caldwell, KS for Oklahoma.

Thought to be a more mature photo of Nellie Eugenia Swaggart, Josephine Swaggart and Charles Swaggart, children of Eugene McBride Swaggart and Elvira Van Alstine Swaggart. However, not positive as it was not marked and the hair is much different from the other photo.
