May 12, 1921 - Wichita, Kansas:
Rhoda Ellen Wright was born January 16, 1853, at Batavia, Iowa. She was married to David Snider, of Abingdon, Iowa on November 3, 1868. They moved to Belle Plaine, Kansas in 1879.
Four daughters and three sons were born to them: Rolla M., Elba Ethel Cobean of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Myrtle Lenore McClure, of New York, Maude Ellen Ham of Seattle, Washington, Flossie Cleo Rogers, who departed this life five years ago, Don E., of Wichita, and Dee M., of Cleveland, Ohio.
Her husband passed away several years ago at Belle Plaine. She, with Don and Dee, moved to Wichita in 1908.
She obeyed the gospel many years ago and was faithful to the end, which came May 12, 1921, at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 26 days.
She leaves besides the above mentioned, several grandchildren, one sister, Matilda Cline, of Conway Springs, two brothers, William F. Wright, of Maitland, Missouri, and George W. Wright, of Abingdon, Iowa, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
One of the best women thus ended her earthly career. Her trust in God, faith in Christ, devotion to the church never wavered buy increased as the years went by. The characteristics that she possessed made her a faithful companion, devoted mother and kind neighbor.
She will be missed by those with whom she associated in church service and good works.
The writer conducted the funeral service. Bro. Homer E. Moore assisted in the short service in Wichita and Bro, D.J. Boyer in the main service at Belle Plaine.
