BLAIR
One of the earliest names on our church roll is Blair. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Blair and his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Blair, came from Hays City to WaKeeney in October 1879. E. W. Blair was a clerk with the United States Land Office, and A. H. Blair was a lawyer associated with his brother. Both families joined the Presbyterian Church January 31,1880.

A. H. Blair, born December 12, 1851, Kossuth, Iowa, moved at an early age with his parents and family to Solomon, Kansas. He studied law and later was admitted to the Kansas Bar. In WaKeeney he served as clerk of the court in 1882, and was one of the organizers of the Trego Bank, serving as an official for many years, and remained a director until the banks consolidated on January 2, 1951. He died May 26, 1951.
He married Salome Pierson January 1, 1880. To this union were born three daughters, one of whom was Stella Blair Larrabee.
Mrs. Blair was the daughter of Presbyterian missionaries and was born August 31, 1856 at Kusia, Caroline Island.
