OBITUARY of Hubert FABRIZIUS
8/19/1925 — 3/15/2004
WaKEENEY Hubert Fabrizius, 78, died Monday, March 15, 2004, at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1925, near Trego Center to Henry Richard and Emilie Othelia (Karst) Fabrizius. He graduated from Trego Community High School in 1942. He married Doris Olds on June 24, 1951, in WaKeeney. She died March 25, 1997. He was a farmer and postal clerk, retiring in 1989. Survivors include two sons, Michael C. Fabricius, Plainville, and Jeremy Fabricius; five daughters, Diane Shannon, Lindsborg, Nancy Avery, Wichita, Cindy Schmidt, Jan Peterson and Amy West; three sisters, Leona Niedens, Martha Poos, and Norma Yancey, Springfield, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney, with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the church.
