Sam H. Glass passed away Friday, March 27, 1987 at the Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney, Kansas. He was born August 26, 1902 on a farm east of Wakeeney to Samuel & Lidwiga (Sauer) Glass. He attended country school in Trego County High School, in 1921. He married Molly Kuppepy in 1927 in Ellis. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He spent most of his life farming on the home place in Glencoe Township in Trego County. He is survived. by his wife Molly, one son, Myron, both of the home; one daughter , Marlene Fulkerson, three sisters, Minnie Kennedy, Marie Solomon, & Lucille Keller, one grandson, & one great-grandson. The Funeral was held April 1, at the Wasinger Funeral Home in Ellis with Pastor Lahoma Counts officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis. A memorial has been established to the Long Term Care Unit of the Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital.
