Gertrude (Lynd) Hobbs, 93, WaKeeney, died Nov. 26, 2006, at Lutheran Home, in WaKeeney. She was born May 25, 1913 in Ellis, daughter of Charles Augustus and Elida (Perkins) Lynd. She graduated from Ellis High School and later received a teaching certificate. She married Dean Klio Hobbs on May 21, 1936, in Goodland. He preceded her in death April14, 1993 She was a school teacher.
Survivors include two sons Terry Hobbs, and Klio Hobbs, a brother Jack Lynd, three sisters, Mary Hughes, Marie Beeghly, and Pat Plomondon, seven grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
