He married Dorothy Meyer, on May 7, 1949, in Bristol, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife, of the home, a son Michael Wahl, & wife, Carmen , a daughter, Bethany Wellbrock, & husband, Jason, two sisters, Louise Nelison, & Wilma Dohrr, & five grandchildren, Thomas John Wahl, Andrew Walh, Carla Capman, Jordyn Wellbrock & Jayden Wellbrock.
