Jasper Davis held public office in two counties in Kansas before going West to Oregon where he became a judge. One of the counties was Wilson. Jasper was born in 1841 and came to Kansas after his marriage in Iowa to Mary Ellen Miller in 1862. Would like to know about his life in Clifton township, Wilson County.

James Johnson, brother of Oxley Johnson, Jr., moved to Neodesha area around 1909(?) from Morley, Scott Co, MO. Second wife was Nancy Moore. Had 3 daughters? First wife was Louisa Lee. Had 3 sons which must have been grown and stayed in Morley? James died ca 1911 in Montgomery Co(?) and was buried in family plot in Neodesha? Mack Dudley Rinehart born 08-30-1926 Topeka, Kansas. Adopted in Topeka, Kansas, by Melvin F. Rinehart and his wife, Vesta M. (Van Valkenburg) Rinehart in the year 1927. (again note Vesta is in vol 2 of the Van Valkenburg books)

and Arthur McReynolds(19yrsold).

They were both from Fredonia, Kansas. Georgia had the baby at an unwed mother's home.

Also NOTE here that my Aunt, Dghtr of Mack, found Arthur's children over 10 yrs ago(in OK,NE,KS one of these states) who said he'd left the family and moved to California. They only Arthur I found in the Social Security index is very close to the age our Arthur could have been. Sad thing is he was living one town away from my Grandfather and they never met.

William TIBBETTS b. 1813 in Maine settled in Wilson County about 1860. Based on the birthplaces of his children, he and his family had lived in IN, MO, and AR before this move.

His wife, Frances b. 1819 KY, died in February 1870 of 'lung disease'. Three or four more Tibbetts children died at the same time.

Reuben and Catherine Goucher lived in Fredonia from ca. 1866 to the late 1870's. They lost at least one child while living there. Is there anyone who can do lookups in cemeteries near there? I would like to find the grave of his son, David Goucher and find out if any other Goucher children are buried near him.

I didn't write the query, but the subject interests me. That is, my great grandfather lived in Wilson County from about 1881-1901 and he and his family moved to Snohomish County, Washington. The Marysville, WA cemetery has a number of burials from the late 1800's early 1900's of Robbins. I'm sure the Ida mentioned is a connection....I just haven't figured it out yet.
