Topic: Matthews Family
Conf: Wilson County Queries
From: Diane Siddons famtrace@tampabay.rr.com
Date: Sunday, June 08, 2003 11:36 AM
I am looking for information on Thomas and Dora Matthews who lived in Bourbon County ca. 1917-1919.
I have Dora's death certificate in which it states that she and an infant died during the 1918 flu epidemic. The following year Thomas had his eldest daughter Mary Jane committed to Winfield Hospital for the Feeble Minded. I am trying to find out any other information that might be available for this family. Thomas and Dora married in 1900 and may have married in Bourbon County or in Wilson County.
Thanks for any help.

Topic: Blackman and Hunter Families
From: Melissa Antos grvechsr@hotmail.com
Date: Friday, June 06, 2003 06:34 PM
I have posted older queries on this site, seeking any information on the Blackman and Hunter families of Wilson County, circa mid to late 1800s and into 1900. Some head of households were Andrew Jackson Hunter and his wife Amanda, their children John and Joseph, plus a slew of daughters, including my great-grandmother Mary Adeline Hunter, who married James Foster Blackman from New York. Some of James' uncles, Thomas and Allen Blackman, were also in Wilson County. Many are buried in the Covyille Cemetery, where most of the family resided. Am still seeking any information and have some to share. My email addresses have changed to: mantos@kc.rr.com or grvechsr@hotmail.com. Still very interested in corresponding with anyone from this family.
